Step 1: Buy a web domain

If you already have your own domain name, go ahead to Step 2.

If you don't already have a domain name, you'll need to buy one. We recommend Hover ($12.99/year for a .com) as it's both affordable and easy to manage.

Step 2: Add your custom domain to Podia

To set up your custom domain, just go Settings in your Podia account and enter the custom domain that you'd like your Podia Storefront to live on.

Step 3: Add a CNAME record

Login to your domain registrar and add a CNAME for your domain pointing to the value; our app will give you the correct recommendation of what to use as the "points to" or value for your CNAME.

The app will give you the correct recommendation of where to point your domain. In most cases, it will be, but some may be directed to point to Double checking the app recommendation, as outlined in the image above, is key.

Note: some registrars require a period at the end of the link being pointed to. In that, case, you would enter: or depending on which domain the app directs you to.

Your CNAME can either be a subdomain i.e. "" ("store" can be replaced with any word you'd like) or a full domain such as "".

After you've created your CNAME, send us an email or live chat and include your CNAME.

Your custom domain name will be ready in 24-48 hours.
