Your Podia account comes with a free subdomain that you can customize (e.g. yourstore.podia.com).
Step 1: Buy a web domain
If you already have your own domain name, go ahead to Step 2.
If you don't already have a domain name, you'll need to buy one. We recommend Hover ($12.99/year for a .com) as it's both affordable and easy to manage.
If you need help with this step, just shoot us an email at [email protected]
Step 2: Add your custom domain to Podia
To set up your custom domain, just go Store settings in your Podia account (and then Domain) and enter the custom domain that you'd like your Podia Storefront to live on.
You can find it here:
Step 3: Add a CNAME record with your domain registrar
Login to your domain registrar and add a CNAME record for your domain pointing to Podia with the following in the "Points to" or "Value" field: domains.podia.com
Note: some registrars require a period at the end of the link being pointed to. In that, case, you would enter: domains.podia.com.
The "Name" or "Host" part of your CNAME record can either be a subdomain i.e. "store.yourdomain.com" ("store" can be replaced with any word you'd like such as: academy, courses, programs, etc) or you can have that on your main domain such as "www.yourdomain.com".
Step 4: Confirm 🎉
After you've created your CNAME, send us an email or live chat and include your CNAME.
Your custom domain name will be ready in 24-48 hours.
