Closed captions are subtitles for your video that are great for people who are deaf or hard of hearing or if you want to make your video accessible to people who don't understand the language of the video.

Step 1: Access the product you’d like to edit by clicking on Products in the top bar of your navigation and then select "Edit".

Step 2: Once you've got your Content open, click directly on the lesson name of the video you’d like to add subtitles to:

From there, all you'll need to do is to add the *.srt file in the Video options section, click Save in the lower right, and you're good to go:

Note: The captions must be in *.srt format.

A couple notes:

  • YouTube automatically generates these caption files for you and they can be downloaded from your YouTube dashboard.

  • To view the captions, you have to click the little “CC” button in the lower-right corner when playing a video.

  • You can add multiple files if you like as well!
