GetResponse is an all-in-one online marketing solution which includes email marketing and automation software that's incredibly easy-to-use. You can use it to set up email newsletters, campaigns, online surveys, follow-up autoresponders and much more.

To sync your Podia account with GetResponse, follow the simple steps below:

Connecting your GetResponse account to Podia

Step 1: Retrieve your GetResponse API key

First, go to the Integration and API page from the top left menu. 

Then, navigate to the API setting page from the sidebar, by clicking on the API section (shown below).

Lastly, click on Generate API Key and then click on Copy to copy your GetResponse API key to clipboard

Step 2: Add your GetResponse API key to Podia

Paste the API key retrieved in the last step into your Podia Integrations page under GetResponse and click on Update GetResponse Integration.

📝 For security reasons, GetResponse expires their unused API keys after 90 days. When that happens, you’ll need to generate a new key to sync your GetResponse account with Podia.

📝 If you don't want your customers to receive email confirmation from GetResponse, please disable double opt-in by following the steps under Disabling double opt-in in GetResponse lists.

Adding Podia customers to specific GetResponse lists

You can add your Podia customers from product, membership plans and email lists to GetResponse lists by selecting these from the specified pages. 

Add your Podia product customers to your GetResponse list

Click on Products in the Podia top navigation. 

Choose any product you would like to connect to GetResponse and click on the "Edit" link.

Now that you're viewing your Product, click on the Settings link at the top, and scroll down to the GetResponse section under Integrations and click on Choose a list... .

Now, you should be able to easily select the GetResponse list you would like to add your Podia product customers to. 🙌

Now when people sign up for this product, they'll also be added to the chosen list in your GetResponse account. 

Add your Podia membership plan customers to your GetResponse list

Click on Memberships in the Podia top navigation and then click on the Plans tab.

Click on the membership plan you would like to connect to a GetResponse list.

Now that you're viewing your Membership plan, scroll down to the GetResponse section under Integrations and click on Choose a list... .

Now, you should be able to easily select the GetResponse list you would like to add your Podia membership plan customers to. 🙌

Click on Save Changes to save your recent changes. That's all there is to it! Now when people sign up for this membership plan, they'll also be added to the chosen list in your GetResponse account. 

Add your Podia email list customers to your GetResponse list

Click on Editor in the Podia top navigation and then click on the Newsletter section. If you do not have a Newsletter section, you can add it by clicking on + Add section.

Once you are in the Newsletter section, scroll down to the GetResponse List ID, click on Choose a list and select a GetResponse list you would like add your Podia newsletter signup emails to. 

Click on Publish to publish your recent changes. Now, you should be able to easily select the GetResponse list you would like to add your Podia newsletter signups to. Now when people sign up for this newsletter, they'll also be added to the chosen list in your GetResponse account. 

Disabling double opt-in in GetResponse lists

If you would like to disable confirmation emails from GetResponse to customers signing up for you products, plans or email lists in Podia, follow the steps below:

1. Go the your lists in GetResponse and click on the 'more options' 3-dotted menu item and select Settings from the list.

2. Click on the Subscriptions tab.
3. Make sure API subscriptions is disabled under Require additional confirmation (double opt-in).
