Example Zapier action walkthrough

Here's a walkthrough of how to use the email list subscription action zap using Google Sheets and Podia.

In this example, we'll create a zap which takes new rows of customer data from a spreadsheet and subscribes that customer to an email list in Podia. 

Active the trigger step using Google Sheets

Create your Google Sheet:

Select the Google Sheet integration with the "New Spreadsheet Row" trigger:

Then connect your Google account

Now, select your spreadsheet and worksheet:

Add a test row to your spreadsheet so Zapier can find some sample data during your tests:

Email list subscription action set up for Podia

Select the Podia integration and select the "Add an email list subscription" action: 

Connect your Podia account:

Choose the email list to subscribe the customer to. Map the spreadsheet email value to the Email field in the action configuration:

Test the integration to make sure the data was added to your email list in Podia: 

For the final step, name your zap, and make sure to turn it on. 🙌 

In operation

Now, whenever you add new rows to the spreadsheet, the email field will get pushed to the selected Podia email list.

You may have to wait up to 15mins for Zapier's Google Sheet integration to check your spreadsheet changes and trigger your zap. Once Zapier finds a new row, it will add that customer to your email list subscription.
You can see the new member appear in your Podia dashboard and the Zapier task history.

If you have selected double opt-in, your customers will get an email from Podia to confirm their email.

You can access this setting by clicking on the "Store settings" and navigating to the "Email" tab.
