For each sale you make through Podia, the funds are sent to you directly through your connected Stripe and/or PayPal accounts. 😃
Linking these through Podia is extremely easy and gives you the flexibility to decide whether you want to offer one or both payment options to your customers.
To get these connected so you can start getting paid, follow the steps below:
Stripe will be used for both individual product purchases and enables payment plans and membership payments.
Step 1. Click on the connect button to the right of Stripe.
Step 2. A new tab or window will open where you can either sign up for Stripe if you don't have an account already, or you can Sign In in the upper right-hand corner.
Step 3. After you enter your email address and password for your Stripe account, click Continue.
Step 4. Based on your security settings with them, you may be sent a code to your phone to verify the login. As soon as you enter that code and click Continue again, you'll be redirected back to your Podia settings page.
Step 5. Verify your Stripe account is connected!
Connecting PayPal for payments requires you to have a Business Account with them. You can upgrade for free through your PayPal Settings. Paypal will only be used for individual product purchases and will NOT work with payment plans or membership payments.
Step 1. Click on the connect button to the right of PayPal.
Step 2. A small PayPal pop up window will open (if not, double check your pop-up settings for your browser!) Enter your PayPal email address here and click Next.
Step 3. Enter your PayPal email and password and click Log In.
Step 4. You'll see a success message after logging in! Simply click on Go Back to Podia from here.
Step 5. Verify your PayPal account is connected!
Easy peasy! Your customers will now see both options during checkout! 💰
