Uploading your videos and files to Podia should be easy and simple!

However, sometimes you might see an “Upload Failed” message or think uploading a file is taking longer than it should...

If you're having trouble uploading files to Podia, following these steps may solve your issues.

Solving “Upload Failed” problems ❌

If you get an "Upload Failed" message while uploading your files, here's what you can try:

  • Use a different web browser, such as Chrome, Firefox, or Safari.
  • Check your original file for any issues and make sure you are following our Image & Video guidelines.
  • Make sure your file is smaller than 5GB (our uploader cannot upload files larger than 5GB).
  • Check your file name and remove any special characters and ensure the proper file format extension is being used (.mp4 or .mov).
  • Make sure your internet connection is working properly. Restarting your modem and router usually solves most of the problems.
  • Avoid bulk uploading. Try uploading one file at a time.

Solving slow upload problems ⏳

In general, we do not control the amount of time it takes to upload a video to Podia. We will take as much bandwidth as your Internet Service Provider will allow.

Thus, if your upload is taking longer than expected, you can check your current internet upload/download speeds by using a speed test.

Here are a few other things you can try in order to solve slow upload issues:

  • Restart your modem and router.
  • Connect your computer directly into your modem by using an ethernet connection.
  • End or pause other activities that might be consuming a lot of bandwidth (such as YouTube, Netflix - and other streaming platforms - other uploads or downloads, etc.).
  • Avoid bulk uploading. Try uploading one file at a time.

If none of these steps solve your problem, send us a message with a detailed description of everything you've tried and the results you're getting.
