Adding a new topic to your community is super simple and can be done just with a few clicks!
Topics can be created to help you organize content within your community. They will help you group posts into collections for members to join and create new posts for.
This is also a great way to manage content access based on the plans members are enrolled to.
Adding a new topic to your community
Step 1: Access the Community tab at the top menu.
Step 2: From the left-hand menu, click on All topics.
Step 3: Select “+ New topic”.
Step 4: Time to set up your topic’s information!
Give your topic a name, description, and optional banner image.
Choose who can view and follow this topic. Anyone who cannot view this topic will not be able to find it on the All topics page nor in search results.
Here are the three options you can choose from:
Open: All community members can view and follow this topic.
Private: Choose specific members or plans that can view and follow this topic.
Public: All community members can view and follow this topic and all posts can be viewed on your site.
Choose whether members can post under this specific topic or if new posts will only be created by you.
Set this newly created topic as a default topic if you want your members to automatically follow it.
Step 5: Once you’re done, hit Create topic.
And that’s it! Your new topic is not created and you can now start assigning posts to it!
