Why do emails bounce?
There are a number of different reasons why an email would bounce.
If you're seeing bounced emails in your broadcast or campaigns, this means our servers tried several times to send the email to their inbox without success.
Here are a couple of reasons why emails bounce:
Invalid/nonexisting email address
Email address does not exist anymore
Subscriber's email inbox is full
Temporary/permanent errors with the subscriber's email servers
Email content: Blocklisted links or sentences, bad images, links to a site with malware, etc.
Most of the reasons are not controlled by Podia or you (as the creator) and would need to be fixed by the subscribers themselves.
With that said, let's take a closer look at what could be done to manage bounced subscribers.
Managing bounced subscribers
If you are seeing multiple instances of bounced subscribers there are a couple of things you could do to manage or even remove these.
1) Wait and analyze
You can wait and analyze to see if the same emails would keep bouncing for any future emails you send.
If it is a temporary bounce (such as a full inbox) the subscriber should receive future emails you send.
2) Remove bounced subscribers
If you need to remove a specific email from your bounce list, you will need to completely remove the customer from your account.
Here's how to completely delete a customer/subscriber.
If they are part of a product we wouldn't recommend deleting them completely.

Can I see the reason behind a specific bounce?
At this time you would only be able to see which emails bounced, but not its reason. We hope to add this option in the future! ✉️
Can I see bounced emails for email broadcasts and email campaigns?
You will be able to see general bounce stats for broadcasts and campaigns.
Individual bounce stats are just available for email broadcasts.
Can I bulk remove subscribers?
Not at this time but we are working on supporting that in the future! 📥
Am I paying for bounced subscribers?
Not at all! The bounce stat will just be a way for you to check your list health and understand your email deliverability rates.
Bounced subscribers do not count against the total subscribers or toward your sending limit. You'd only be charged for the active subscribers.
