This is Step 2 in our Creating and launching your community guide. Head over to the overview page to start at the beginning!
Understanding community plans
Community Plans are how people gain access to your community area on Podia.
You can create multiple different plans, depending on what you have in mind for your community - and they can be either free or paid.
Plans can be used to accomplish multiple different setups for your community:
Free or limited access
Paid Tiers or Levels of Access
Access to different types of content
Note: Customers can only be enrolled in one community plan at a time.
If there is more than one community plan they want to be a part of, consider creating a new plan that encompasses both! If they simply want to change their plans, they can do so from their dashboard.
Creating a community plan
Here's how to create a community plan that will grant access to your community area on Podia:
From your Podia dashboard, click on Products in the sidebar menu.
From the Products page, click on "+ New Product".
On the product creation page select "Community plan" and give it a name.
Click on Create product to create your community plan.
After your plan is created, it's time to customize it. You can navigate between the 3 available tabs to customize different aspects of your community plan:
Details: Give your plan a name, description, image, set up included products and integrations.
Pricing: Set up an offer for your community plan. It can be either free or paid.
Availability: Determine availability options, such as status, visibility and access
Once you've set up all the details for your community plan, hit the Publish button to make it available for new signups.
Creator tip 💡
Creating multiple plans allows you to set up different levels of subscriptions with different prices and offers.
Basic plans can contain fewer products and access to areas of your community, while more expensive plans can benefit from additional products and exclusive topics.
