Adding buttons to your sections

With Podia’s Site Builder, you can add custom buttons to all of your site pages!

Buttons are useful for linking to external or custom pages, adding extra buy buttons for your products, including a donate button, a contact button, and more!

Adding buttons to your pages

Here's how to add buttons to your site pages:

  1. From your Podia dashboard, click on Website in the sidebar menu.

  2. Select Edit site.

  3. Add a new page section or edit an existing one to bring up its editing options in the left-hand menu.

    You can choose any section type that supports buttons. The ability to add buttons is available for these page sections:

    • Text

    • Image

    • Video

    • Plans

    • Grid

    • Links

    • Products

    • FAQ

    • Testimonials

    • Categories

    • Table of Contents


  4. From the left-hand menu, locate the Buttons area. Fill out the Button label (what your button is going to say) and Button link fields.

    Once both label and link fields are filled, the button will show up on your page section.

  5. You can also customize the button color for each section by heading over to the Design tab and making all the necessary changes.

    • At this time, the size of the button is not able to be adjusted, only the colors.

FAQ & Troubleshooting

Can I add "buy" buttons to my site pages?

Buy buttons can be useful if you want to send users directly to the checkout page for a particular product.

While you can do that in lots of different ways (such as adding a "Banner page section" or featuring a specific product) you can also manually create these buy buttons if you'd like.

In order to do that, first you'll need to grab the Checkout link from your product.

Start by visiting your Products page and click on the "..." button next to the product name, then select "Share product...":

On the pop-up that appears, copy the “Checkout link” for your product:

Then, simply paste this link into the Button link field in your Site builder for the button you're trying to add.

Checkout links shouldn't be shared for waitlisted products, as that will give your customers the ability to buy or sign up for the product while it's still intended to only be offered only as a waitlist option.
