Podia gives you the option to redirect subscribers to different pages (inside or outside your Podia site) after they successfully submit their emails through an email form.

This feature lets you build sales funnels or guide subscribers to a personalized thank you page.

Introduction

Podia allows you to control the success behavior of email form signups that happen on your site or through embedded email forms.

You'll have 3 options when it comes to defining the success behavior of email forms on your site pages:

  • Show a message

  • Redirect to a page

  • Redirect to a URL

Show a message

This option will display a success message for a brief moment at the top of the page and keep subscribers on the same site page.

Redirect to a page

You can select a page of your Podia site to send subscribers to after a successful email form submission.

Redirect to a URL

You can select any URL to send subscribers to after a successful email form submission.

Setting up a redirect for site email forms

You'll be able to set up a redirect behavior for the following page section types:

Here's how to configure a success behavior for site email forms:

  1. From your Podia dashboard, click on Website in the sidebar menu.

  2. Select Edit site.

  3. Navigate to the section you want to set up a redirect behavior for and click on it to open its editing options.

  4. Under the Success area, select if you'd like to display a Success message, redirect to another page, or redirect to a URL and finish setting up its details - such as selecting the page and URL of your choice.

    • If you select Redirect to a URL option make sure you include the full URL, including https://

  5. Click on Publish at the top right to have your changes successfully published to your public site!

If you don't have any of the supported page sections added to your page, simply add a new section by clicking on "+" and picking one of the supported sections from the left-hand menu.

The Banner section would only support redirects if your product is in Waitlist mode or is a Free Email deliverly digital download.

And that's it! You've just set a new success behavior for subscribers who submit an email through this specific email form.

You can set different success behaviors for different email forms of your site, including on the same page.

FAQs & Troubleshooting

Can I set up a different behavior for different embedded email/waitlist forms?

No. The success behavior setting affects all of your existing embedded email/waitlist forms.

Currently, you can't assign different behaviors for each individual embedded form.

Can I set up a success behavior for sticky banner email forms?

No. At this time a success behavior cannot be set for sticky banner email forms.

In this case, you can consider completely hiding sticky banners from your site.
