Topics are a great way to organize content in your community.

However, if a topic is no longer needed, you can easily delete it to keep your community organized and clutter-free.

Deleting a topic will also delete all posts contained on that topic.

Before you delete a topic...

When a topic is deleted, ALL POSTS on that topic will be permanently DELETED as well.

Your members will no longer be able to view any posts or replies on that topic.

If you don’t want to lose any posts, you might consider changing your topic availability settings and removing access to all people/plans that have access instead of fully deleting it.

Deleting a topic

  1. In the sidebar menu, click on Community and select Topics.

  2. Click on “...” next to the topic you’d like to delete and select “Delete topic...”.

  3. Review the topic you're trying to delete and confirm your action by clicking on Delete topic.

    Deleted topics cannot be recovered.

FAQ

Can I move posts to another topic before I delete them?

No - you cannot switch a post’s topic once it has been assigned and created.

If you’d like to transfer a post over to a different topic, you’ll need to recreate that post in the other topic.
