Encouraging your members to post is a great way to boost engagement and retention.

However, there may be certain topics you want to keep locked for announcements or community management purposes.

In this article, we’ll guide you through the steps to prevent members from posting on specific topics.

Preventing members from posting on specific topics

  1. In the sidebar menu, click on Community and select Topics.

  2. Click on “...” next to the topic you’d like to edit and select “Edit topic.”

  3. Locate the New posts area. From there, click on the “Only I can make new posts” option.

This will make it so that only you, as the admin, will be able to create posts for this specific topic.

  4. Click on Update topic to save your changes.
