Managing topic settings gives you control over visibility options for your community topics, as well as other features like who can post, default notifications, and more.

Accessing topic options

  1. In the sidebar menu, click on Community and select Topics.

  2. Click on “...” next to the topic you want to edit and select “Edit topic.”

  3. On the next page, you'll view and edit all available topic options. Select the options you'd like, then save your changes. More information on these options can be found below.

Topic Details

Here you'll be able to modify your topic's name, description, and image.

For images, we recommend 1200x400px PNG, JPEG, GIF, or WEBP up to 5 MB. This will appear atop your topic page and in topic cards.

Topic Options

Topic options will allow you to modify settings like access, default notifications and more!

Access

You can choose the following access options:

  • Open: Allows all community members to have access to the topic and its posts.

  • Private: Allows you to choose specific plans and/or members to have access to the topic and its posts.

  • Public: Allows the topic and its posts to be seen by anyone on the internet.

New posts

Choose who will be able to create posts under this specific topic and block members from posting if you don’t want them to.

Default notifications

Set default notification options for each one of the topics you will create. This will allow you to control the default email notifications followers would receive.

Members will be able to change those notifications at any time from their own accounts as well.

Default topic

Choose whether you’d like to make it a default topic or not.

All members with access will automatically follow a default topic and are unable to unfollow it.

FAQ & Troubleshooting

Can I change the order of how topics appear to members?

Topics are ordered alpha-numerically by default.

If you are looking to show your topics in a specific order the easiest way would be to add numbers in front of the topic names.

Example:
01. Animals
02. Weekly Meditations
03. General
...
