Want to level up your Podia site with some extra bells and whistles? Adding third-party code is the way to go!

It lets you integrate cool external apps that can add things like timers, pop-ups, and more.

In this guide, we'll walk you through the steps to add third-party code to your Podia site and also share some popular third-party tools that other Podia users love 🚀

Installing third-party app code

Installing third-party app code into Podia is a quick and simple process.

When you sign up for a third-party tool, they’ll provide you with a “snippet” of code to copy and paste into your site. Here's how to get this code installed on Podia.

  1. Click on your Avatar at the top-right corner and select Settings.

  2. Navigate to the Analytics tab.

  3. Paste your code under the Website tracking code field.

  4. Save your changes. The code will render on your site once changes are saved and your app will be installed.

Note: a few specific apps — primarily analytics and advertising apps —will require you to add an additional snippet to track conversions.

Those conversion snippets will go in the box titled Conversion tracking code directly below the Website tracking code box:

Recommended apps

Most third-party apps will work and render on your Podia site pages.

Here are a couple of apps loved by other Podia users ✨

Analytics

These tools allow you to add extra information to your site, like heatmaps and various data points. This helps you better understand how users interact with your Podia site.

Hotjar

Hotjar is an analytics tool that lets you see heat maps of where your site visitors click, scroll, and view.

Pop-ups

Elfsight
Elfsight is a platform that allows you to add different elements to your Podia site, including pop-ups.

BDOW! (Formerly Sumo)

BDOW! is a service that lets you add pop-up forms directly to your site.

Countdown timers

Deadline Funnels

Deadline Funnels lets you add a countdown timer to your pages to create urgency.

Social proof

Trustpulse
Trustpulse introduces social proof popups to your site. These popups show your visitors that others are buying your products, encouraging them to make a purchase too.

Fomo

Fomo adds social proof popups to your site that let your visitors see that others are buying your products.

Accessibility

Sienna

Sienna lets you make text/color/feature adjustments on your screen to improve accessibility, especially if you serve an audience that needs these features.

Using Sienna could alter key structural elements of your Podia site. We're not able to support Sienna if things don't work as expected.

Language

GTranslate

GTranslate adds a translation box to the top of your site's pages. You can choose the languages you want to offer, and visitors can select one when they visit your site.

Please note that GTranslate won't impact your Podia dashboard and automated emails sent in the language you have set for your site.

Pricing parity

Parity Deals

With Parity Deals you can show discount codes depending on where your users are from.

This lets you use Podia's coupon codes to give different prices to potential customers depending on where they're located.

These tools will primarily replace Podia messaging on your site pages.

You can use them if you're looking for more advanced feature or simply would like to keep using the platform you're already familiar with.

Help Scout

Help Scout's shared inbox, help center, and live chat software gives your team the tools you need to easily manage customer communications.

FAQ

Does Podia have a public API?

At this time, Podia does not offer a public API.

While we don't have a public API at the moment, Zapier can often provide a workaround for integrating Podia with other tools and platforms

Depending on the platform you're trying to connect, there might be Zapier integrations available that can bridge the gap between your platform and Podia.

You can check all of Podia's Zapier integrations and also our Zapier documentation.

Does third-party code work for the product viewer?

No. Third-party code added to your Podia account will just apply to your public-facing site pages (including checkout).

Please note that third-party code will not function within the product viewer where customers log in to view and access their products.

Am I able to add third party code into the header or <head> section of my website?

No. Unfortunately, any code meant to be installed in the <head> tag of a site is not supported. We only support adding code in the <body> tag.
