Managing comments for digital products

A guide on how to manage comments for your digital products

Comments are a great way to get feedback on your content, generate discussions among your customers, and build a community around your digital products.

By default, comments are enabled for any of your digital products, making it easy for customers & students to engage with your content πŸ’¬

Customers can leave comments on your digital products, and both you and other customers can like or reply to those comments to keep the conversation going.

Note: Product comments are not available for coaching session products or bundles.


Managing comment visibility

You can easily enable or disable comments for any of your digital products. Here's how:

  1. In the sidebar menu, click on Products.
    ​
    From there, click on the Edit button on the far right of your product.​
    ​

  2. Navigate to the Details tab.
    ​

  3. Under Comment visibility, select if you'd like to keep comments Visible, hidden or locked.
    ​

    • Visible: All comments are shown and new ones can be posted

    • Hidden: No comments are shown and new ones can’t be posted.

    • Locked: Existing comments are shown, but customers cannot leave new ones.
      ​


Liking and replying to comments

You can easily respond to comments made in your products directly from your customer dashboard.

You can also use the Notifications Inbox to reply and like comments.

Here's how to like and reply to comments made on digital products:

  1. In the sidebar menu, click on Products.
    ​

  2. From the Products page, click directly on the name of the product you'd like to access comments for.
    ​

  3. Click on the Comments tab.
    ​

  4. From the comments tab you'll be able to view all the comments made in your products.
    ​

    If you're viewing an online course, you'll get an overview of lessons and how many comments each lesson has.

  5. Use the options at the top to reply, like, and manage comments.
    ​


Adding a comment

Here's how to add new comments from your Podia dashboard.

  1. In the sidebar menu, click on Products.
    ​

  2. From the Products page, click directly on the name of the product you'd like to access comments for.
    ​

  3. Click on the Comments tab.
    ​

  4. Use the available field to write a new comment or click on the reply button to reply to an existing comment.
    ​

Note: If you're viewing an online course, make sure you select the lesson you want to add a comment to first.


Deleting a comment

To delete any comment, click the "..." button next to the comment and select "Delete...".
