At Podia, your monthly or annual email plan is calculated based on the number of active subscribers you have.
But... What happens if you max out on subscribers? Letβs break it down!
Understanding sending limits
Podia's email billing is determined by the count of active subscribers in your account.
People marked with "Not subscribed" or "Unconfirmed" won't be counted towards your limit.
To get started with Podia Email, you'll first need to sign up for an email plan that fits the number of subscribers you have on your account.
You can check all of our Podia Email plans on our pricing page.
Once your plan is selected, email sending capability will be unlocked π
This means you can send unlimited emails up to your subscriber limit.
Changing and upgrading your email plan
You can change and upgrade your email plan to increase your subscriber limit at anytime (even before you hit the limit for the current plan).
To avoid unwanted charges, Podia will NOT automatically change your email subscription plan.
β
Changes to your email plan should be done manually.
As you approach the subscriber limit for your plan, Podia will send reminder emails indicating how close you are to hitting your current plan's limit.
To upgrade your Podia Email plan, visit your Billing Page. From there, scroll until you find Podia Email, and click on "Manage" > "Upgrade plan".
Select the plan that fits your new subscriber limit and hit "Choose plan".

Hitting the subscriber limit
As the number of active subscribers on your account grows, you might hit the subscriber limit for the plan you're currently in.
Once you hit the limit for your current plan, the ability to send emails will be disabled (broadcasts + campaigns).
Transactional emails - such as sales confirmations, failed payment warnings, webinar reminders, etc. - will still be sent.
You will be prompted to upgrade to the next available tier or remove active subscribers to restore email sending functionality.
Once your plan is upgraded (or once you reduce the number of active subscribers), email sending should be restored.
β οΈ Once email sending functionality is restored, make sure to re-schedule broadcasts and resume paused campaigns.
