Create a "welcome email" for your products

Learn how to create a campaign to send a personalized welcome email to your customers.

Podia automatically sends a transactional email to your customers every time a purchase is successful with the summary of their order.

However, you might want to send them a welcome email with a personalized message thanking them for doing business with you! πŸ’°

Here's how to create an automated welcome email that will trigger each time someone purchases one - or more - of your products!


Creating a "welcome email" for your products

You can create a new campaign per product or create one campaign for all of your products (if you want them to get the same welcome message).

  1. Start a new email campaign by selecting Campaigns from the Email tab in the sidebar menu.

  2. On the next page, click on "New email" and choose "New campaign" from the dropdown:

    Give your campaign a name (only visible to you).
    ​

  3. Under "Entrance conditions", this is where you will tell Podia what will trigger the welcome email campaign.
    ​
    Select "Gains access to product..." and choose the product(s) you want to create a welcome email for.
    ​


    If you want this email campaign to trigger for multiple products, make sure to add multiple entrance conditions and include all of the products you want to target:

  4. Scroll to the bottom of the page and click on New Email to add a new email to this sequence.
    ​
    You can add as many emails as you would like, but we will focus on creating a campaign with just one email - your "welcome email".
    ​

  5. Start by configuring the details of the email, such as Subject and Preview text.
    ​
    Make sure Delay is set to 0 days. This will ensure your confirmation email gets sent shortly after they sign up for your product(s).

  6. Time to write the content of your email... ✏️
    ​
    You can select a blank template, a template from a previous email, or one of our premade templates. From there, use the composer to write your email.

  7. Once you're done, it's time to launch your campaign! πŸš€
    ​
    Click on Done and select Finish later - this will take you back to the campaign editor page.
    ​

  8. From there, review the information and - when you're ready - click on "Run" at the top of the campaign setup page.
    ​

And that's all there is to it!

Now, every time someone gains access to the product(s) you selected, they'll be added to the campaign and will receive a personalized welcome email shortly after!


FAQ & Troubleshooting

Can I disable the welcome transactional emails that are sent when someone gains access to my products?

No. Currently, our automated transaction emails can't be customized/disabled, but we're looking to add this capability in future updates.
