Offering a pre-recorded webinar is an excellent way to provide a replay of your live events, allowing customers to watch it at their convenience.

In this article, we'll explore how to create a pre-recorded webinar from scratch.

Creating a pre-recorded webinar

  1. In the sidebar menu, click on Products.

  2. From the Products page, click on "+ New Product".

Choose the Webinar type of product, and add a name, then click Create product.

  3. Webinar products do require a live event to be published, but we'll work around that.

    1. Add a random YouTube link in the Live video field.

    2. The replay you upload will override this, so don't worry about it showing for customers! Here is a Podia one you can use if you like πŸ€—

  4. Upload your pre-recorded webinar video to the Replay video section.

  5. Choose a date and time for your webinar product in order to publish it.

The key is to select a date and time as close as the date you’re publishing your product, so the live video is quickly replaced by the replay as soon as possible.

Note: You cannot schedule a certain time for this to be viewed by customers. Once the replay overrides, they can view it any time as long as they have access and the product is published.

  6. Publish your product.

    And that's it!

Give it a few minutes and soon the replay will override the Youtube Link so it will be all your customers see!

FAQ

Can I use other product types to create a pre-recorded webinar?

Yes! Another option is to use an online course product instead.

Online courses will give you plenty of flexibility in terms of structure, so you can use this one to upload a recording of your webinars as well.
