Selling a YouTube Live Webinar
Here's how to sell a YouTube Live webinar on Podia:
In the sidebar menu, click on Products.
From the Products page, click on "+ New Product".
On the next page, select Webinar among the available options. Give your webinar product a name, and click "Create product" to have it created.
Under the Live video section, select the YouTube Live option. Paste your YouTube Live share link in the corresponding field.
How do I get a YouTube Live share link?
First, create your live event on YouTube, either via your computer or through a webcam.
Once you've scheduled your stream, click "Share" and paste the available link on Podia.
Set a start time and an end time. These will help Podia determine when reminder emails should fire and when replays will be available to your customers.
These times/dates should reflect when your webinar starts and ends.
Next, you'll outline instructions for your customers. Instructions serve as a way to describe your webinar and provide any essential details or requirements, such as how to access the webinar, what preparations are needed, and more.
Instructions are shown on the webinar page once a customer has purchased the webinar.
You can also select which reminders you'd like to send customers for the webinar product you're creating.
Navigate to the other tabs in your product to set up pricing, access duration, availability, and other settings.
Once you're ready, click on Publish at the top right to publish your product!
Understanding the customer experience
Once your YouTube Live webinar product is published, your audience will be able to purchase it and sign up.
They’ll see all the instructions you’ve added, along with the webinar’s start and end times when accessing the product on their dashboard.
To watch the webinar, customers will click the embedded YouTube player shown on the page. They can click the player at any time to go to YouTube, but the livestream will only begin once you start it on YouTube.
Uploading a webinar recording file
After your YouTube Live webinar ends, the YouTube player will be accessible within your webinar product for anyone who wishes to watch it again.
Alternatively, if you prefer, you can download the replay video file from YouTube and upload it to Podia, which allows it to be hosted on Podia rather than YouTube.
If you upload a replay video to your webinar product, a video player with the recording will become available to your customers after the event ends, based on your chosen end time.

How to find your YouTube Live embed link?
How to find your YouTube Live embed link?
If you're new to YouTube Live, the quickest way to get started is to schedule a live stream via webcam.
Once you've scheduled your stream, click "Share." A pop-up will appear with the link to your YouTube Live stream.
From here, you will need to restructure the code to make it compatible with Podia. You will need to create it in the following format: http://youtu.be/[uniquevideoID]
The unique video ID is the string of characters that appears after live/ in the share URL. It ends right before the ? in the URL.
Now, you will paste the newly structured URL and the "YouTube embed link" field on your webinar's settings page in Podia.
