This guide explains what your customers will see when they sign up for one of your products, so you can better understand their experience.

Understanding the Customer Journey

The customer journey begins when someone visits your Podia website. From there, they can explore your pages and choose what action to take, such as purchasing a product.

Purchasing a Product

To buy a product, the customer needs to go to your product sales page. On that page, they’ll see options like:

  • Buy for $xx

  • Get Access for Free

Clicking one of these buttons opens the checkout flow. During checkout, customers will:

  1. Create an account or log in (if they already have one)

  2. Confirm their purchase and enter a discount code (if applicable)

  3. Enter billing information and address (if enabled)

  4. Proceed with payment

Creating an account allows customers to manage all their purchases in one place. They can use the same account to buy more products and access all their content easily.

After payment is completed, customers will:

  • See a confirmation screen

  • Gain immediate access to the purchased product

  • Receive a confirmation email with purchase details (pictured below)

Understanding the Customer Dashboard

After purchasing or signing up, customers can access the dashboard. From here, they can:

  • View all enrolled products

  • Enter your community area (if enabled)

  • Manage account settings, including:

    • Updating their name

    • Changing their email address

    • Resetting their password

    • Managing payment methods

Navigating the Dashboard

Upon signing in, a page is displayed showing all products the customer is enrolled in. Clicking on a product name opens the product viewer, where customers can access content.

To access your community (if available):

  1. From dashboard, hover to the sidebar menu

  2. Select Community.

Customers can also manage their account settings from this same side bar menu.

Understanding the Experience for Returning Customers

Returning customers can log in to access previously purchased products.

To log in:

  1. Visit your unique Podia site URL

  2. Click the Login button in the site header

Important: Customers should not log in via app.podia.com. That is for admin access only. If a customer is having trouble logging in, refer to our login troubleshooting guide.
