As an online business owner, tax season can feel a bit overwhelming!

With Podia, it's easy to export your invoices history to share with your accountant or tax professional.

Exporting your Sales Data

Your accountant or tax professional may require an export of all of your invoices data.

Here's how to export your invoices from sales you made on Podia:

  1. From your Podia dashboard, click on Sales in the sidebar menu.

  2. From the invoices page, click on Export to download a CSV file of all of your invoices.

Invoices Export Data

We'll generate a .csv file of all of your invoices and send via your Podia account email. You can use Excel (or another spreadsheet software) to open up the file.

This export will include tax information like:

  • Customer Address

  • Sale Amount

  • Sales Tax Charged

Additionally, for users in the EU, the export includes:

  • VAT Rate

  • VAT Country

  • VAT Number

  • VAT Proof (Browser location)

  • VAT Proof (Payment location)

  • VAT Proof (Selected location)

  • VAT Collected

You can also use Excel (or another spreadsheet software) to filter sales from a specific time range.

Additional Tax resources

We recommend that you reach out directly to a tax professional or accountant to assist with any questions you may have about filing.

To learn more, Quaderno is worth checking out for additional guidance on sales tax, VAT tax, and goods and services tax (GST).

Additionally, Avalara and TaxJar are helpful for understanding sales and use taxes.
