By default, and in line with industry standards, members receive an email notification after their monthly or yearly payment is processed — not before.
However, if you’d like to send reminders before a renewal happens (subscriptions and/or payment plans), you can set this up through your Stripe account.
Podia doesn’t currently offer built-in automatic renewal reminders, but Stripe gives you the option to configure these notifications to go out ahead of a subscription renewal.
Sending emails about upcoming renewals through Stripe
Here's how to set up reminder emails about upcoming renewals through Stripe:
Login to your Stripe account.
Go to Settings > Billing.
Enable the Send emails about upcoming renewals option. This email will be sent 7 days before a customer's subscription renews.
Click on the eye icon to preview the email that will send and also further customize it.
