Podia features a rich-text editor that allows you to format text and insert various types of content into the comments you leave on posts and products you've purchased.

As you start using the text editor, you'll be presented with a couple of options - such as adding an image, video or embed.

Clicking on the "..." (more) option will bring additional inserting options.

With the command menu, you can either add new elements or use it to format your text.

From the command menu, select the Image option. From there you'll be presented with a dropdown to add your file.

To add your file, click on Choose image and pick the file from your computer. You can also add alt text and links to the these images and align it once the image is uploaded.

From the command menu, select the Video option. From there you'll be presented with a dropdown to upload your video.

Once the video is uploaded, use the available options to add subtitles and a video thumbnail if you'd like.

Type a / (forward slash) in the text area to bring up the command menu and select the Audio option.

Use the available fields to upload your audio file from your computer.

On the dropdown that appears, you will be able to add a Label and a Link.

To add extra spacing between lines of text, press Shift + Enter where you want the space to appear. This ensures that the spacing is saved and displayed correctly.

Pressing just Enter won’t work for extra spacing—Podia will ignore that space when saving your text.

Here's how to format text and add hyperlinks to your comments and posts

There are two ways to format text in comments. The first option is found within the command menu.

You can access the command menu by using the forward slash / command and choosing your text formatting. To view your options, you can scroll past the Insert section to the Formatting section.

To edit existing text, you can highlight to select the text you'd like to edit and a pop-up menu will appear above your text.

You will have all of the same options for formatting, with a few additional options, such as Bold, Italic, Strikeout, and Highlight.

For the highlighting option, there are four color choices: Yellow, Green, Blue, and Pink.

On this same pop-up menu, you can also hyperlink text to guide your customers to another URL.

Podia allows you to embed content from many other services directly into the comment area. Some examples of things you can embed:

To embed content, use the / command in the content section of your lesson to bring up the command menu.

Choose </> Embed from the dropdown, and simply paste the unique URL of the item you want to embed, then click Insert.
