Introduction to audience segments
At their core, audience segments are saved filters of your audience.
Podia offers default segments, but you're able to create custom ones as well!
For example, you can use filters to find audience members that have spent more than $500 on your site and create an audience segment called "Big spenders".
This will help you effectively tailor messages to specific portions of your audience!
Creating segments for your audience
Creating these custom segments for your audience is super simple! First, you'll need to set up the audience filters you would like to use.
Click on Audience in the top navigation menu and choose Everyone.
Click on Filter to get started.
Select the filters you'd like to apply for your audience. There are a lot of different filters to choose from, such as "Tagged", "Subscribed", "Spent" and many more!
After adding filters, click on "Save new" next to the applied filters to save it as a segment:
Give your segment a Name and hit "Save"! Your segment is now saved!
Viewing segments
To view your recently created segments, simply use the Segments button and click on the segment you'd like to select:
If you click on a segment to view it and apply additional filters, you will have the option to update the segment or save it as a new segment
Simply click on the "Save" button next to the new filters added to review these options 😊
Editing segments
Locate the segment you'd like to edit, click on "..." next to its name. You'll be able to either Rename or Edit Filters for a specific segment.
Editing filters will allow you to make modifications to the filters you have set for a particular segment - in case you need to adjust any of the settings you initially set up!
When you're ready, you can hit the "Save" button next to the filters to either update the segment or save it as a new segment entirely.
Deleting segments
If you want to delete a specific segment, simply locate the segment you'd like to edit, click on "..." next to its name, and select "Delete segment".
