In order for customers to receive emails such as broadcasts or campaigns from your site, they will need to be opted-in to emails.
You can choose if you would like customers to be automatically subscribed to emails when making a purchase or if you would like them to be presented with a checkbox to opt-in themselves during checkout!
Here's how to change your checkout subscription settings.
Updating subscription settings
When you first start your Podia account, this will be set to 'Automatic subscription' so no checkbox will be presented during checkout.
From your dashboard, click on Settings.
Locate the Email settings group and click on Edit next to the Checkout subscription option.
Choose if you want to automatically subscribe people to your emails when checking out or not.
Automatic subscription - People will be automatically subscribed for emails at checkout.
Opt-in subscription - People will be presented a checkbox to subscribe for emails at checkout.
Hit Save to save your changes. Changes will apply immediately.
