Create a confirmation email for your waitlist

Learn how to create a campaign to send a personalized email when someone signs up for a waitlist.

Sending a confirmation email to your waitlist helps build excitement for your soon-to-be customers! πŸŽ‰

In this article, we'll walk you through how to set up a confirmation email for your waitlist subscribers.

A confirmation email is not set up automatically, but you can follow the steps below to get one set up in a matter of minutes after you create a waitlist product ✨

  1. Start a new email campaign by selecting Campaigns from the Email tab in the sidebar menu.

  2. Click on New email button and choose New campaign from the dropdown:

  3. You can create a new campaign per waitlisted product or create one campaign for all of your waitlisted products (if you want them to get the same message).
    ​
    To get started, give your campaign a name (only visible to you).
    ​
    Under entrance condition, this is where we will tell Podia what will trigger this specific campaign. Select "Waitlists for product" and then choose the Waitlist product you want to create a confirmation email for.

    If you want this email campaign to trigger for multiple waitlist products, make sure to add multiple entrance conditions and include all of the waitlist products you want to target:

  4. Scroll to the bottom of the page and click on New Email to add a new email to this sequence.
    ​
    You can add as many emails as you would like, but we will focus on creating a campaign with just one email - your "confirmation email".
    ​

  5. Start by configuring the details of the email, such as subject and preview text.
    ​
    Make sure Delay is set to 0 days. This will ensure your confirmation email gets sent shortly after they sign up for your waitlist.
    ​

  6. Time to write the content of your email... ✏️
    ​
    You can select a blank template, a template from a previous email, or one of our premade templates. From there, use the composer to write your email.
    ​

  7. Once you're done, it's time to launch your campaign! πŸš€
    ​
    Click on Done and select Finish later - this will take you back to the campaign editor page.
    ​

  8. Review the information and - when you're ready - click on "Run" at the top of the campaign setup page.

And that's all there is to it.

Now, every time someone signs up for the waitlist product you selected, they'll be added to the campaign and will receive the confirmation email shortly after!
