How migration works in Podia

To request a migration, please fill out the form here with the requested information and someone from our support team will be in touch ASAP!

Migrations are a manual process for our support team. The way it works is that we sign into your current provider to export your subscribers, tags, and segments and then import them into your Podia account.

For email campaigns, we will copy and paste the content, images, and files into a new campaign here, using the selected template of your choice. We will then set up applicable automations.

Because of our process, once we start working on your migration, we will not be able to refund any portion of your Podia plan and we are unable to make any exceptions.

What we’ll migrate for you

For eligible email migrations, we'll migrate up to the number of subscribers included with your current Podia subscription, along with:

  • Tags

  • Segments

  • Up to 5 email templates*

  • Up to 10 email campaigns

* Templates can be recreated in Podia using the design features available. It is expected that fonts and formatting will change to adapt to our editor.

Due to differentiations between platforms, migrated automations are limited to the following triggers:

  • Purchasing a product

  • Joining a Waitlist

  • Adding to Audience

  • Joining a Community

  • Adding a tag

What we’re unable to migrate

Data migrated for subscribers is limited to:

  • First and Last name

  • Email address

  • Associated tags

We cannot store or migrate additional information such as:

  • Mailing addresses

  • Phone numbers

  • Subscriber notes

Additionally, we’re unable to migrate:

  • Tables, columns, or custom code.

  • Conditional splits.

Note: Migrated subscribers will not receive any migrated campaigns.

They will be tagged with the tag migrated which will opt them out of receiving any of the campaigns we migrate on your behalf to prevent overlap with your existing email service.

FAQs

Do I need a migration if I only need my audience / contact list added?

We can definitely help with this, but you can also do it on your end! You can bulk import your audience using our import tool.

How long will it take for my migration to be completed?


Once you have completed the following items, the estimated turnaround time for an email migration is less than a week after your request is processed by our team. To ensure the fastest processing, be sure to submit your completed:

The estimated time can change based on public holidays, the number of requests we have in the queue, as well as when we receive your request.

What if I have more subscribers than my current Podia subscription includes?

We can only migrate your subscribers if the number of subscribers included with your current Podia subscription covers your audience count. If your audience is larger than your subscriber limit, you'll need to upgrade your subscriber tier before we can migrate your subscribers.
