A campaign is meant to automatically engage a subscriber when they perform a specific action (i.e. - signs up for a product, joins a wailist, etc).
But what if you add a new email to an existing email campaign? Will your subscribers receive it?
It all depends on where they are in your sequence... ⏱️
When a subscriber will NOT receive the added emails... ❌
Subscribers who are already past that point in the email campaign will NOT receive the email you just added.
Example: You add a new email to your sequence and set the delay to Day 5. A subscriber who is already past that point - from Day 6 and beyond - will not get it.
When a subscriber WILL GET the added emails... ✅
Subscribers who haven't reached the point to where you have added the emails will receive the new emails you add to your sequence.
Example: You add a new email to your sequence and set the delay to Day 5. Any subscribers prior to that point - from Day 0 to Day 4 - will receive the added email.
FAQ
Why do I not see the option to add a new email to my campaign?
Why do I not see the option to add a new email to my campaign?
To add a new email to your campaign, you will first need to pause the campaign. Once it's paused, you will see the option to edit the campaign, which will allow you to edit existing emails and add new emails to the sequence.
Can reordering emails cause subscribers to miss emails they've never received?
Can reordering emails cause subscribers to miss emails they've never received?
Yes; Podia tracks subscriber progress by position in the sequence, not by which specific emails they've received. If an email is moved to a position a subscriber has already passed, they will not receive it, even if they've never received that email before.
Example: A subscriber has received Emails 1–10 (they are currently at position 10). You shift Emails 11–15 earlier in the sequence, placing them at positions 6–10. Those positions are now behind the subscriber's current point, so they will not receive Emails 11–15, even though they've never seen them.
