Why can't I publish my product?

Learn more about the minimum content requirements for each product, event, or plan

Written by Rodrigo

If you’re unable to publish a product, event, or plan, there are a few common reasons why this might happen.

One of the most common is that the required setup or content hasn’t been completed yet.

To publish an offer, you’ll need to meet the minimum requirements, which can vary depending on the product, event, or plan you’re creating.

Below, you’ll find the minimum content requirements you need to meet before you can publish your product, event, or plan.

Online course

At least one lesson needs to be added (sections will not meet the requirement).

Download

At least one file must be added (sections will not meet the requirement).

Bundles

2 or more published products must be added to the bundle.

Coaching session

An embed or custom link to your calendar and instructions must be added.

Events

For Events you'll need:

  • The location where the event will happen

    • Virtual: Link to where the webinar/meeting is happening

    • In-person: Address Line 1, City, Country, Zip code, and State/province

  • Start and End times

Plans

You'll need to set a price to be able to publish your plan.

I can't find the Publish button in my course editor

If your product is already published, the Publish button won't appear in the course editor. That's expectedd: once a product is published, any content you add or edit (lessons, files, etc.) is automatically saved and immediately live for your customers.

You only need to click Publish once — the first time you make a product available. After that, the course editor auto-saves all your changes.

To confirm a newly added lesson is visible to customers, click the three-dot icon next to the lesson name and select View lesson.
