Understanding your customers' in-site messaging experience

This guide goes over what your customers see when you use Podia Chat to engage with them

If Podia Chat is enabled on your site, customers can message you instantly by clicking the chat bubble in the bottom-right corner of the screen.

The chat widget appears on every page of your site and will be visible to visitors and/or logged-in customers based on your chat availability settings.

By clicking on the chat bubble, users can launch the chat widget and start messaging and replying to your messages instantly! 💬

They will also be able to see your name, your online status, and the profile picture you're using for your account!

Editing notification preferences

By default, all customers are opted in to receive email notifications for any unread Podia Chat messages sent within the last hour.

Customers can opt out of these notifications anytime by going to their account settings on your site.

Non-customers can also leave their email address if you’re not online or if your Podia Chat status is set to “away.” This way, they’ll receive an email notification when you reply to their message.

Podia chat email notifications will contain the customer's name/email and any unread messages you might have sent.
