Podia's messaging feature is a great way to engage with your current audience and customers who are logged in to your site.

In-site messaging can encourage your customers to take action while they are using or considering a specific product or membership plan. 💁‍♀️

This feature allows you to skip the need for any integrations and chat in real-time right on your site!

These direct messages can help you not only better engage your customers but also immediately connect and understand their needs in context. As a result, you can instantly recommend the best course of action, answer specific questions or direct them to a specific product or membership plan without them having to leave your site.

FAQ

How can I change the colors in my Podia messaging window?

The different colors in your Podia messaging window are affected by the values assigned to Accent 1 and Shade 3.

Accent 1: The background color of your Podia messaging icon is determined by this value.

Changing this color setting will also affect other areas of your site, including link and button colors in your emails, buttons in your product viewer pages, etc.

Shade 3: This determines the color of both text inside the Messaging window and the color of the messaging icon inside the Messaging bubble.

Changing this color setting will also affect other areas of your site too, including the pretitle and subtitle font colors in your Vivid and Bright color themes.

Why am I getting messages from strange names I don't recognize?

We will automatically generate a name for people that don't have an account with you. These are randomly generated names for people who visit your site but don't have an account yet. These auto-generated names typically include a color as the first name, and an animal or object for the last name.

Why can I not access the messaging page?

If the messaging link in your sidebar is grayed out and not able to be clicked, it's likely that you are a collaborator / teammate on the account. Currently, Teammates do not have access to the messaging feature. Only the account admin is able to access this page.

How do I access messages on mobile?

Smaller screens mean that there may be some different formatting to your Messaging page! To access messages on your mobile device, you will need to click on the user's name, and then scroll down below the list to view their messages.
