From your site editor, you can manage important settings like selecting a custom homepage or turning on a cookie banner for your visitors.

In this article you'll learn how to edit your site settings.

Accessing your site settings

Here's how to access your site settings:

  1. From your Podia dashboard, click on Website in the sidebar menu.

  2. Select Edit site.

  3. Click on the page navigation menu, in the left upper corner. The name may vary depending on the page you're currently seeing.

  4. Using the left-hand menu, navigate to your Site settings. Your site settings can be found at the bottom of your page list.

    • If you have many pages, just keep scrolling until you find it.

From your Site settings, you'll be able to modify settings such as:

  • Choose your homepage

  • Add a site description

  • Upload a site icon

  • Set a social image

  • Adding a cookie banner

  • Showing/Hiding sticky banners

Let's take a look at each one of the options!

Choosing your homepage

When your Podia site is created, Podia will automatically create a homepage, which will be the root directory of your site.

However, you can set a specific page to be used as your homepage if you'd like.

Under Homepage, use the dropdown menu and select any page you'd like to use as your homepage.

Homepage changes you make will be active immediately; you don't have to publish your site for changes to apply.

Adding a website description

Optimizing your meta description is key for your site's SEO. In your site settings, you can add a site description, which will appear in search engine results.

Uploading a site icon

A favicon, or site icon, is a tiny 16×16 pixel image that acts as your website's branding. It helps visitors find your page quickly among many open tabs.

You can easily customize your site icon by uploading an image in the site settings sidebar.

Selecting a social image

When you or someone else shares a link to your Site or sales page on social media like Facebook or Twitter, the link can automatically include an image.

You can add social images to your homepage and custom pages and these will appear whenever a link is shared on social media!

Adding a cookie banner

Podia's Cookie Script integration enables embedding a cookie-consent banner on your Podia site.

With this integration, you will be able to display a cookie banner on your site and customers will be able to decide which cookies they want stored on their site.

Showing or hiding a sticky banner

Sticky product banners show up when visitors scroll down your product pages, displaying the product title and a buy button for quick and easy access to your checkout page.

You can choose whether to show or hide these banners by using the toggle in the site settings sidebar.
