Want to sell tickets for your upcoming in-person event but not sure how to use Podia to make it happen? 🎟️
We've got a clever workaround to help you get those tickets in the hands of your audience!
While Podia isn’t specifically designed for ticket sales, you can create and sell event tickets using our Digital Download feature.
Create your digital download ticket
For this workaround, we'll use our digital download option. This option is great for event tickets because customers can easily download the file containing their ticket after they complete their purchase.
Supported file types that would work well for event tickets would be PDFs or image files. You can use an external tool like Canva to create your ticket image or PDFs!
Create a new product
Navigate to Products in your top bar.
Click + New Product and select Digital download from the pop-up window.
Enter a product name, such as Ticket for 11/19 Pasta Class and click Create product.
Upload your event ticket file
Drag and drop your ticket file (e.g., a PDF or image of the ticket) into the Files section, or click Choose files to upload.
Customize product settings
Use the tabs to fine-tune your digital download:
Details: Edit the product name, URL, and add categories or an image.
Pricing: Set your ticket price.
Limit ticket purchases
To ensure you don’t oversell your event, you can set a sign-up limit for your digital download.
In the product editor, navigate to the Availability tab.
Under the Limits section, click Edit next to Sign-up limit.
Enter the maximum number of tickets available and click Save.
Once the limit is reached, no additional sign-ups will be allowed! 🎉
Publish your event tickets
Once you’re happy with the setup of your tickets, it’s time to publish your digital download product! 🎉
In order to publish your product, simply click on Publish.
Once published, your customers can purchase tickets and download the file containing their event ticket. 🎟️

No, at this time, Podia’s digital download feature doesn’t support unique IDs. All tickets will be identical.
To confirm purchases, you could verify the user's email address at check-in and cross reference this with the customer list of the product.

Each customer will only be able to purchase one ticket. If you wanted to sell packages of tickets, you could consider making a digital download for 1, 2, 3, 4, etc. tickets, and then include that many tickets in the downloadable file.
