Why do customers see "By providing your card information, you allow... to charge your card for future payments" during checkout?

Our checkout form has default language in place, but your customers will never be charged outside of what you have set up.

At Podia, we're serious about smooth payment processing for you and your customers ๐Ÿ’ฐ

When customers check out, they might see a message: "By providing your card information you allow [YOUR STRIPE ACCOUNT NAME] to charge your card for future payments in accordance with their termsโ€.
โ€‹

This message will show up for customers who are checking out for payment plans and community/membership subscriptions. It lets them know their card will be kept on file for future charges we handle.

It's a way to make sure customers don't have to enter their card details again for future installments and recurring charges.

Please note that this message won't pop up for one-time payments. In those cases, we won't store the card information either.
