Editing the details of your blog posts helps you fine-tune important information such as your posts URLs, how it shows up in search engines (SEO settings), its featured image, and lots more!
Editing your blog post details
Here's how to edit blog post details:
From your Podia dashboard, click on Blog in the sidebar menu.
βClick on Edit next to the blog post you'd like to edit.
If you're trying to edit the details for a new post you'll create, hit the New post button to create a new blog post.

On the blog post edit page, use the right-hand menu to make edits to your blog post details - such as URL, SEO options & more!
βOnce you're done editing your blog post details, click on Publish (if you're publishing your post for the first time) or Update (if you're editing an existing post).
Here are the options you'll find in each one of the tabs:
Summary
Publish date - Choose if you want to publish your blog post immediately or schedule it for a future date
Author - Write the name of the author of the blog post. No author profiles will be created, but this name will be displayed on your blog pages.
Post URL - Enter the page slug you want to use for your blog post.
Preview post.../Unpublish post... - Click to preview how your blog post is looking so far or unpublish it (if it has been published already).
Delete post... - Click to delete your blog post. Deleted blog posts cannot be recovered.
Details
Featured image - Set up a Featured image for your blog post. This is used on your site, RSS feed, and as a backup Social image if one is not set.
Excerpt - This is used to summarize your post contents and is used on your site, RSS feed, and as your backup SEO description if one is not set. We recommend 55-100 words.
Comments - Choose if you want to enable or hide comments for this blog post.
Categories - Add categories to your blog posts to help visitors find related posts that might interest them.
SEO
SEO title - This is used as the title of your post when sharing it around the web. Your post title is used otherwise.
SEO description - This is used to describe your post when sharing it around the web. Your excerpt is used otherwise.
Social image - This is used when sharing your post around the web. Your featured image is used otherwise.
Show in search results - Choose if you want to show or hide this blog post from being indexed by search engines.

Can I change the main URL of my blog?
No. The main URL for your blog will stay as /blog, and this is not customizable at this time.
You can change the URLs for individual posts through the Summary tab.
How long does it take for SEO changes to take effect?
How long does it take for SEO changes to take effect?
We cannot predict how long it will take for changes to take effect and be crawled by search engines after changes are made.
If you notice changes are taking longer than usual, it might be a great idea to connect your site to Google's Search Console and ask it to re-crawl your pages.
