Blog categories are a great way to organize related blog posts, making it easy for visitors to explore other posts that might interest them.
You can assign one or multiple categories when creating or editing your blog posts.
You can view, edit, and manage all of your categories by visiting your blog categories page, which can be accessed from the top navigation menu.
Each category will have its own dedicated site category page, showcasing all blog posts under that category.

Adding categories to blog posts
Here's how to add categories to blog posts on Podia.
Create a new blog post or click to edit an existing blog post you've already written.
Navigate to the Details tab from the right-hand menu.
Navigate to the Categories area.
Enter a unique name for the category you want to add.
You can create a new category directly from the modal or select one that you have already created.
Repeat the process to add new categories. You can add as many categories as you'd like for a single blog post.
Click on Update (for existing blog posts) or Save/Publish (for new blog posts) to save the changes for your blog post.
Once categories are created, a new category page will be created alongside with it, where all of the blog posts with that particular category will be displayed.

Managing blog categories
You can easily rename, delete, and modify its page settings directly from your blog categories page.
To access it, click on Blog from the top navigation menu and then select Categories.
Here's how to manage blog categories for your Podia account.
Renaming blog categories
Click on "..." next to the category you want to rename and select "Rename category".
Enter the new name for your category and save your changes.
Deleting blog categories
Click on "..." next to the category you want to delete and select "Delete category".
Deleted categories CANNOT be recovered.
Confirm this is the category you'd like to delete the category and hit the Delete button.
Modifying blog categories page settings
Click on "..." next to the category you want to modify page settings for and select "Page settings".
A modal will open up and you'll be able to change:
URL: modify the URL of your category site page
SEO title: Enter a custom title for the page that will be used across search engines
SEO description: Enter a custom title for the page that will be used across search engines
Social image: Enter a custom social image that will be used across social media platforms
Show in search results: Define if you want this page to show up in search results or not
