Occasionally, you may want to embed an audio player, song, playlist, or podcast into your site or your course materials.

Luckily, using our iFramely integration, you're able to do exactly that!

Introduction

By default, Podia turns your audio files into players, so people can stream them on Podia. They can also download the file if you enable that option.

If you’d rather use an external audio player, you can embed one from services like Spotify or SoundCloud. This is useful if you want to share a playlist, a podcast, or an audio file hosted on those platforms.

With our iFramely integration, you can embed an external player and offer a stream-only option.

Supported platforms: Soundcloud, Spotify, Deezer, Apple Podcasts, Podbean, DjPod

Embedding an audio or podcast player

To embed an audio player from an external platform, you’ll need the direct link to the song, file, podcast, or playlist you want to use. Then, paste that link into Podia using the embed option.

Here’s how to find the URL on some of the most popular audio platforms:

Spotify

Embedding the audio player

Once you have the audio URL, follow the steps below to embed that on your site/products/blog posts, etc.

  1. Navigate to where you want to embed your external audio player, such as your site, course lessons, blog posts, etc.

    1. Only rich-text fields support embedded media. Plain text fields (like product names, titles, or subtext) do not support embedded media.

  2. Use the Embed option available in the text editor's quick menu.

  3. Paste the unique URL of the audio player you want to embed, then click Insert.

FAQs

Can I control the displayed height and width of my player?

No. The embedded audio player and how it renders on your Podia site is directly controlled by the platform you are using to host it.

My embed is not appearing on the site editor... HELP!

When you add an embed in the site editor, it will first appear only inside the text editor.

After you save and exit the page, then open it again in the editor, you’ll see it displayed on your site page.

Can I use an embedded code?

No. Embedded codes are not supported on Podia. Make sure you're grabbing the share URL of the element you want to embed as shared in the steps above.
