While you can share your affiliate link with existing customers, it won't work for non-customers as they'll be taken to the login page with no login and will get stuck.

You can get around this by creating a product and having potential affiliates sign up!

Introduction

You can invite your customers to sign up for your products and become affiliates, but you might also want to broaden your reach by advertising your affiliate program publicly, allowing both customers and non-customers to join.

To become affiliates, potential partners will need an account with you.

To streamline their joining process, you could create a product specifically for this purpose and have them sign up through it, making it a smooth and easy entry into your affiliate program.

This is what Billet to Blade and Folyo do when publicly advertising their affiliate programs.

Here's how to publicly share your affiliate program and create a product for potential affiliates to join with ease.

Sharing your affiliate program with non-customers

Here's how to share your affiliate program publicly on your site.

  1. Create a "Join our affiliate program" product. From the top navigation menu, click on Products and select New product.

  2. Set up a name for your product (e.g. "Become an Affiliate for XXXX" or "Join the XXXX affiliate program") and choose the Online course type of product.

Review the information and if you're ok with it, click on Create product.

  3. Inside your online course, add a lesson (or more if you want to give more information) that describes how people can join the affiliate area of your account.

You'll want to copy your affiliate link and paste it into your lesson for easy referencing.

Your affiliate's program link is accessible at:
    https://www.yoursiteurl.com/customer/affiliate

Pro Tip: You can also include additional sections that detail how to best promote your products and give your affiliates best tips on how to best use your affiliate program.

  4. It's time to design a sales page for your affiliate product.

In this article you can design your product sales page as a way of promoting your affiliate program.

You can include things like commission rates, policies, payment schedules, etc.

  5. Once you're ready, share the link to your sales page with potential affiliates or even include it as a link in your site's header.

Once they sign up, they will access the lesson you created above and follow the link to register as an affiliate.
