Learn how to display events on site pages

You can easily display events on your site pages, making it simple for visitors to discover what’s coming up and register for the events they’d like to attend.

With Podia, you can add an Events page section to any site page to showcase your events and encourage registrations, as well as sell replays of events that have ended.

Adding an Events page section

Adding an Events page section is a great way to display your events on site pages.

Here’s how to add an Events page section to your pages:

  1. From your home feed, click on your site name and select Admin from the dropdown menu.

  2. From the Admin dashboard, click Website in the sidebar menu.

  3. Select Edit site.

  4. Hover over the spot where you want to add a new section to trigger the Insert Section command.

    Click the “+” symbol to add a section, then choose Events from the left-hand menu.

  5. Pick from one of the pre-made design options from the left-hand menu.

    You can choose to feature a single event or display multiple events from the available pre-made design options.

  6. The design option you picked will be added to your page.

Customizing your Events page section

Now that your Events page section has been added, it is time to customize it!

From the left-hand menu, use the Content and Design tabs to modify your page section.

Content tab

You can use the Content tab to modify the content of your Events page section.

Here's what you'll be able to customize:

  • Pretitle, Title, and Subtitle of your section

  • Text content of your section

  • Choose Events: Choose what events you'd like to display on your page - by selecting if you'd like to display all events, upcoming events, or just specific events.

  • Event Options: Use the toggles to select what types of details you want to show up on your page.

    • Available options are: Image, price, description, date, location, duration, availability, discord access, included products count, included products list, included spaces count, included spaces list, and sign-up button.

Design tab

You can use the Design tab to modify the design of your Events page section.

FAQs

Can I manually order how events show up on my page?

Manually re-ordering events is possible if you select the "Show specific events" option in the Events dropdown menu.

Manual re-order is NOT possible if you're using the Show all events option.

After selecting the events you want to display, click the three-line icon next to each event and drag and drop to reorganize them.

Can I override the event information that shows up on my page?

If you’re using the "Show specific events" option, you can override the information of these events.

Overriding this information will only affect the event details on this specific page and won’t change the actual event information.

Click directly on the event name from the list and customize the information using the new options that will pop up from the left-hand menu.

Why is the option to add an events page section disabled on my end?

The events page section will only appear if you have at least one published event.

If all of your events are set to draft, the events page section will show up as unavailable.

To make the section available, publish at least one event, then return to the site editor to add it.
