Categories are a great way to organize your products on your Podia account.
If you have multiple products that fit under a specific topic, creating categories is a great way to organize them.
In this article, we will show you how to add a category page section to your site pages so you can display them to your customers.
Adding a categories page section
You can add a categories page section to any of your site pages. This is a great way to display specific categories that matter to customers.
Here's how to display categories on your site pages:
From your Podia dashboard, click on Website in the sidebar menu.
Select Edit site.
Hover over the spot where you want to add a new section to trigger the Insert Section command.
Click the “+” symbol to add a section, then choose Categories from the left-hand menu.
Pick from one of the pre-made design options from the left-hand menu.
The design option you picked will be added to your page.
Customizing a Categories page section
Now that your Categories page section has been added, it is time to customize it!
From the left-hand menu, use the Content and Design tabs to modify your page section.
Content tab
You can use the Content tab to modify the content of your Categories page section.
Here's what you'll be able to customize:
Pretitle, Title, and subtitle of your section
Text content of your section
Choose categories: Choose how you'd like to display the categories on your site - by selecting if you'd like to display all categories or just specific ones. Click directly on an item to customize it.
Categories options: Use the toggles to show/hide your categories' description, product count, and button
Design tab
You can use the Design tab to modify the design of your Categories page section.
Here's what you'll be able to customize:
Aspect ratio, corners, width, and mobile full-width option of the images on this section (if any)
Heading alignment, body alignment, arrangement, media alignment options, width, gap & vertical padding of your section
Style

Can I re-order how products show up on my page?
Re-ordering categories is possible if you select the "Show specific categories" option in the Categories dropdown menu.
Re-ordering is NOT possible if you're using the Show all categories option.
After selecting the categories you want to display, click on the three-line icon next to each category and drag and drop to reorganize them.

Yes. By clicking on a specific category from the left-hand menu, you can add a category image, modify its name, and add a description!
