Editing product availability settings

Control your product status, access and visibility

Written by Rodrigo

Editing your product availability settings gives you control over your product status, access, and visibility!

You can control and change when a specific product is closed for enrollment, make it public or hidden, etc.

How to edit availability settings

Here's how to edit your product availability settings:

  1. From your home feed, click on your site name and select Admin from the dropdown menu.

  2. From the admin dashboard, use the sidebar menu and click:

    • Products, if you want to update the availability of a product (such as an online course, download, coaching session, or bundle).

    • Events, if you want to update the availability of an event.

    • Plans, if you want to update the availability of a plan.

  3. Click the Edit icon next to the product/event/plan you'd like to update.

  4. Navigate to the Availability tab.

  5. You'll see all availability options under the Availability area. Click Edit next to the option you'd like to modify.

Here are all of the available availability options:

Status

This lets you choose between two product statuses depending on your needs.

  • Draft: Product is not visible or available for purchase, both for existing and new customers.

    • If you set an included product or a product that’s part of a bundle back to draft, it will be removed from those products, and customer access will be revoked.

  • Published: Product is available for purchase or offering a waitlist.

Setting a published product to draft will revoke its access to all existing customers. Draft products are entirely hidden, no matter their visibility settings.

Visibility

Choose whether you want your product/event/plan to appear on your site and audience dashboard:

  • Hidden - Hidden products won’t appear in product sections on your site. If the hidden offer is a plan, it also won’t appear on your Plans page.

    • Customers who are enrolled will still be able to view and access hidden products from their home feed.

    • Hidden products can still be accessed through their unique sales page or checkout URL.

  • Visible - Visible on your site.

Access

Settings that let you control whether customers can sign up for a product, event, or plan. Closing access will only prevent new signups and won’t affect existing customers.

  • Closed - Visible but not available for signups on Podia. This won't impact existing customers.

  • Open - Product is available for signups on your site.

Access will still be granted via included products/bundles/Zapier if a product is set to closed.
