Viewing and managing comments for courses

A guide on how to view and manage comments for your courses

Comments are a great way to gather feedback, answer questions, spark discussions, and build a stronger community around your content.

Comments are available for online courses, allowing members to leave comments directly on individual lessons as they work through your course.

Managing comment visibility

You can easily enable or disable comments for any of your online courses. Here's how:

  1. From your home feed, click on your site name and select Admin from the dropdown menu.​

  2. From the admin dashboard, use the sidebar menu and click Products.

  3. Click the Edit icon next to the course you'd like to manage comments for.

  4. Navigate to the Details tab.

  5. Find the Comments option under the Options section.

  6. Select the option you'd like to apply for your course comments.

    • Active: Everyone can view and respond to comments.

    • Restricted: You can view and respond to comments. Members can only view comments.

    • Hidden: You can view, but not respond to comments. Members cannot view comments.

  7. Changes will save automatically.

Reacting and replying to comments

You can easily reply to comments on your courses directly from your Home Feed.

Whenever someone leaves a comment on one of your course lessons, you’ll receive a notification. Activity related to that conversation will also appear in the Home Feed for anyone involved, making it easy to view the discussion and reply to comments without needing to open the lesson itself.

Use the options next to each comment to reply, react, and manage comments.

To add a comment, you can either reply directly from the activity in your Home Feed or open the course and navigate to the lesson you’d like to comment on from the Products tab.

Deleting a comment

To delete any comment, click the "..." button next to the comment and select "Delete...".

FAQs

Are comments supported by other product types?

No. Comments are available for online courses, allowing members to leave comments directly on individual lessons.

Comments are not supported for downloads, coaching sessions, bundles, or events.

If you’d like to encourage discussions around product types that don’t support comments, we recommend creating a space for these products.

Help! The comment link in my notification email is not working.

Typically, when a link in a comment notification email does not work, it is because the comment has since been deleted by the author. If you don't believe this to be the case, try clearing your cache and cookies and clicking the link again.
