When you or others share a link to your site or sales page on social media platforms like Facebook or Twitter, the link can automatically display an image.

By adding a social image to your pages, you can control what visitors see when your site is shared on social platforms.

Adding social images for site pages

Here's how to add social images for your site pages on Podia:

  1. From your Podia dashboard, click on Website in the sidebar menu.

  2. Click on the Page settings icon next to the page you'd like to add a social media image for.

  3. Upload the image you want to use across social platforms under the social media field from the left-hand menu.

    1. Your social images should be at least 1200x630px (for better compatibility across all social media platforms) and up to 5MB.

FAQ & Troubleshooting

The platform is still showing an old version of the image I uploaded... HELP!

Sometimes, old versions of your social image may still be saved in a platform’s database, even after you’ve uploaded a new one on Podia.

To fix this, you can use debugging tools to force these platforms to reload and display the most recent version of your image:

Social Share Preview is a helpful tool that will allow you to test several social networks at once without needing to be logged in

In case there's a specific social media tool that you'd like to debug, you can follow the links below and follow the on-screen instructions.

You can also read more about debugging social images in this help doc.
