How to create & send email newsletters

An email newsletter is one of the most effective ways to engage with your customers and subscribers.

It's your chance to share all the exciting new things going on - whether that's updates to your services, new product launches, or any news you have. It's all about keeping in touch and keeping everyone in the loop 📩

You can easily send email newsletters on Podia through email broadcasts.

In this article, we'll guide you through how you can create and send newsletters using Podia.


Creating and sending an email newsletter

Newsletters can be sent by using the Email broadcast feature on Podia. Here's how to get started:

  1. In the sidebar menu, click on Email and then select Broadcasts.

  2. On the broadcasts page, click on “+ New Broadcast”.

  3. Give your email broadcast a Name (for internal use), enter a catchy subject line to grab your audience's attention, and include a Preview text if you'd like!

  4. Now, it is time to select your email recipients. Those are the people you want to send your newsletter to.


    Use both segments and filters to narrow down your recipients. Mix and match filters and segments to ensure you're reaching folks who'll really appreciate and benefit from your message.

    You can target people from your audience with specific tags, who have purchased specific products, members from community plans, who have spent a specific amount on your site, etc. The possibilities are endless! ✨


    If you add multiple filters, you can also select if you want customers to match any or all of the criteria you have set up:

  5. It's now time to craft the content of your newsletter.

    You can select a blank template, a template from a previous email, or one of our premade templates.

  6. Once the template is selected, the email composer will open up. The email composer will be used to build and design your newsletter.

    You can use the Design tab at the right-hand side of your screen to adjust global design options for your email, such as colors, typography & more!


    To add new content to your email, hover your mouse over where you want to add a new element and use the "+" symbol to add a new section type:

  7. Before you send out your newsletter, you can send yourself a test email. This will ensure things look good on your side and your work is ready to be shared with your audience ✨

    Click "Send test" to see a test version in your inbox.

  8. When the email is all set, you can choose to send it now or schedule it to send later.


    To schedule your email, select "Send later" and select a date and time:

And that's it! Your email newsletter is ready and will be sent to your selected subscribers 🥳

Can I create emails from pre-existing templates?

Yes! Our premade email templates are available for you to use as a starting point, making the process straightforward and uncomplicated ✨

From the Email Builder, click on "Premade templates" when designing a new email to select a template you'd like to use for your newsletter.
