To start collecting payments on Podia, you’ll need to set up a few basic details — like connecting a payment processor (Stripe or PayPal), choosing your currency, and enabling taxes if needed.
In this step, we’ll walk you through how to set up your payment details.
Accessing your payment settings
Here's how to access your payment settings:
From your home feed, click on your site name and select Admin from the dropdown menu.
From your Admin dashboard, click Settings on the sidebar menu to access the settings page.
Locate the Payments section in the Settings page.
Selecting a currency
By default, your account uses United States Dollar (USD) as the currency.
Podia supports multiple currencies, so if you’d like to change it to something else, here’s how to do it:
Select the currency you'd like to use for your account from the dropdown menu.
Hit Save to save your changes.

Connecting a payment processor
Connecting a payment processor to Podia allows you to charge customers for the products and plans you sell.
Podia supports Stripe and PayPal as payment processors. Here’s how to connect them to your account:
Click Connect next to the platform you want to connect to Podia (Stripe/PayPal).
A new window will open with further instructions. Follow the instructions on the screen to get your accounts connected to Podia.

Enabling tax collection
Podia makes it easy to collect and charge taxes based on the regions where you’re required to do so.
If you need to collect taxes, you can enable them directly in Podia. If not, you can skip this step.
Once set up, taxes will be automatically applied at checkout for any regions where you’re registered to collect them.
Here's how to enable tax collection:
Enable Collect taxes and enter your business information as well as the jurisdictions you need to collect taxes in.
