Guide for new users | Connecting a payment method

To begin selling through Podia, you will need to connect with at least one of our integrated payment processors: Stripe or PayPal.

Locating your Payment settings

  1. To make adjustments to your payment settings, the first step is to access your settings page by clicking “Settings” in the sidebar menu of your dashboard.

  2. Next, click on the Payments tab in the sidebar menu under “Settings”.

Selecting a currency

On your payment settings page, you can select a currency for your payments to be processed in. To select a currency, click Edit. If no changes are made, it will default to USD.


Connecting to a payment processor

Also on the payment settings page, you can connect your Stripe and/or PayPal account to receive payments through the platform. Click Edit to connect your account(s).


Setting up Taxes

The third item you can set up on the payments page is your tax details. If you do not need to collect taxes, you can skip this step.

Once set up, sales taxes would be automatically collected during checkout for all the jurisdictions you're registered to collect taxes in.

To add your tax information, click Edit, then select Collect Taxes. You will then be prompted to input your tax information.
