Connecting PayPal to your Podia account allows customers to pay using PayPal when checking out through Podia.

Setup is quick and only takes a few steps to get everything connected and ready to accept payments.

When you make a sale using PayPal, the funds are sent directly to your connected PayPal account.

Available on: Shaker and Earthquaker plans.

Here's how to connect your PayPal account to Podia:

From your home feed, click on your site name and select Admin from the dropdown menu. ​

From the Admin dashboard, click Settings &gt; Payments in the sidebar menu. ​

Click Edit next to the Payments option. ​

Click Connect next to the PayPal option. ​

Connect an existing PayPal business account or sign up for a new PayPal business account to have it connected to Podia.

1. To connect PayPal and start receiving payments on Podia, you’ll need to have a PayPal Business account. You can upgrade for free through your <a href="https://www.paypal.com/us/smarthelp/article/how-do-i-upgrade-my-paypal-account-type-faq900" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">PayPal Settings</a>.
2. If you don't have a PayPal business account yet, you'll be able to enter your business information and create your account directly from the connection modal. ​

Fill in your details and hit Continue. ​

You'll see a success message after logging in or signing up for an account. Click on "Go Back to Podia" to return to your Podia dashboard. ​

Confirm your PayPal account is correctly connected to Podia

8. Confirm your PayPal account is correctly connected to Podia

Once connected, payments will be processed through your PayPal account.

The information shown on your customers’ credit card statements will reflect the details from your PayPal account settings.

No. A business PayPal account is required for you to be able to sell through Podia.

Can I connect a personal PayPal account to Podia?

No. PayPal can be used for one-time payments only. It doesn’t support payment plans or subscription pricing.

You'll need to <a href="https://intercom.help/podia-3dd936dd4247/en/articles/11321150-connecting-stripe-to-your-podia-account" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">connect Stripe</a> to be able to accept payments for subscriptions and/or payment plans.
