Setting up Stripe is quick and easy—it only takes a few steps to get everything linked and ready to go.
Connecting your Stripe account to Podia
Connecting Stripe enables you to accept credit card payments for products, payment plans, and recurring subscriptions via community plans.
With Stripe, you also get to accept alternative payment methods, such as:
Google Pay
Apple Pay
iDeal
Debit card payments
Stripe Link
Here's how to connect your Stripe account to Podia:
In the sidebar menu, click on Settings and select the Payments sub-option.
On your Settings page, click on Edit next to the Payments option.
Click on Connect next to the Stripe option.
Connect an existing Stripe account or sign up for a new Stripe account to have it connected to Podia.
If you don't have a Stripe account yet you can create it directly from the connection modal. After you enter your email address and password for your Stripe account, click Continue to create a free Stripe account.
Follow some security procedures and set up the required 2FA settings (either using a phone number or an authenticator app).
Time to enter your business information. This will be how your payments will be processed and the information your customers will get on their credit card statements. Depending on Stripe's regulations for your country, you should also be able to register and sell as an individual.
Once you finish entering your details or connecting an existing account to Podia, hit Connect.

Once you finish all the steps, your account should be fully connected to Podia.
Once your Stripe account is connected, you'll be able to start collecting payments and setting up a price for your products/subscription plans.

Check if Stripe is requiring you to submit additional information. Stripe won't let you connect your account to external platforms if there any required information is pending.
