You can manually unsubscribe someone from your marketing emails through your Podia dashboard if they’re unable to do it themselves or if you need to update their status for any reason.
In this article, we'll show you how to unsubscribe a contact from marketing emails in just a few clicks.
Unsubscribing specific contacts
Here's how to unsubscribe specific contacts from marketing emails:
Click on Audience in the sidebar menu.
Search or locate the contact you want to unsubscribe.
You can use the search bar at the top to look for a specific account by name or email address.
Click on "..." next to the contact you'd like to unsubscribe and click on Unsubscribe.
Review and click to confirm this is the contact you're trying to unsubscribe.
You can also unsubscribe a contact directly from their audience profile.
Click the "..." button on the right-hand side and select "Unsubscribe."
Bulk unsubscribing contacts
You can also unsubscribe multiple contacts at once using the bulk unsubscribe feature, making it easy to update several email preferences in one go.
Here's how to do it:
Click on Audience in the sidebar menu.
Select all of the accounts you’d like to unsubscribe using the checkboxes next to each one of their names.
You can also use the "Select all" option if you'd like to select all contacts or from a specific segment:
Click on the “Actions” menu button and select “Unsubscribe”.
Review and confirm you'd like to unsubscribe the selected contacts.

Yes. They can unsubscribe via an unsubscribe link we add to the bottom of all marketing emails you send through Podia.
Alternatively, they can also manage their preferences from within their customer dashboard.
Will unsubscribing a customer remove them from the products they purchased?
Will unsubscribing a customer remove them from the products they purchased?
It will not! It will only opt them out of receiving your marketing emails.

It's not possible to resubscribe someone from your Podia dashboard due to CAN-SPAM and anti-spam international regulations.
However, they will have the option to easily re-subscribe either through their settings or by re-entering their email on your site form.
